The Realization Process is a meditation method developed by Judith Blackstone, that guides us to an embodied experience of non-dual consciousness. Through these practices we come home to ourselves in a deep way, at the same time as awakening to how we are not separate from the world around us - awakening to non-duality. This can allow us to experience and interact with the world in a way that’s simultaneously more grounded, and more open, richer and more joyful. As Judith says:Non-dual awakening is not something other than our humanness. It is the fruition of our humanness”.

The classes will include guided meditations to bring us into our own internal depth and experience fundamental consciousness, they will sometimes include practices that work specifically to open the chakras. We learn the practices first seated on a chair so that we can feel our feet on the ground, so there is no need to be able to sit cross legged. Sometimes we will practice standing meditation, but if for any reason you are unable to stand for these you can also practice them seated.

“At the core of everyone and everything is radiant, unbroken consciousness, the root of the universe.” Judith Blackstone

I was drawn to this work because of my own interest in teachings on non-duality and Self , or Atman, within the Yoga tradition, and my own spontaneous experiences of this when meditating or chanting Mantra. This Self, the ground of our being, is undamaged, is whole, is perfect in each of us. The Realisation Process is a practice that guides us to live more from this place of perfect wholeness.

This practice is for you if:

  • You have been practicing yoga and would like to establish a meditation practice

  • You are an experienced meditator who is seeking an embodied practice

  • You’re interested in an embodied experience of non-duality (a lived experience rather than a theoretical understanding of the concept)

  • You would like to feel more grounded, or safer within your own body

  • You sometimes feel overwhelmed by the world and/or would like to find more inner stability

NB: Although meditation can often help with issues such as anxiety or depression, it is not a replacement for therapy or medical support. If you are unsure whether this meditation class is suitable for you please contact Sophia to discuss this confidentially before booking the class.
